Space Week

11th Oct, 2023

World Space Week takes place annually from the 4th to the 10th of October. It aims to celebrate ‘the contributions of space science and technology to the betterment of the human condition’.

Our Junior and Senior Infants made colourful rockets and practised their cutting skills as well.

Our 1st-3rd Class children discussed life in outer space. They designed their own aliens and named them.

We also learned some new vocab surrounding the topic of space including:

  • Meteor
  • Comet
  • Constellation
  • Stars
  • Solar system
  • Astronaut
  • Milky Way

Constellations

The children in 1st-3rd Class studied the various constellations of stars and their names.

They then practised making some using peg boards.
